Antique rooftop lightning rod with figural weathervane.
First and foremost a lightning rod, this piece also features a weathervane halfway down its body. As the name would suggest, it is constructed almost entirely of metal with a deep blue lightning rod ball beneath the weathervane. The horse on this piece was a common addition to pieces like this at the turn of the century. Despite being over 100 years old, lightning hasn't changed and neither has metal's ability to conduct electricity, this still works as intended.
Exhibits minor signs of wear including rust and tarnish. Horse is slightly detached from the weathervane.
